International Cycling Safety Conference
18-20 November 2019 | Brisbane, Australia
The Centre for Accident Research and Road Safety-Queensland (CARRS-Q) presented the 8th International Cycling Safety Conference (ICSC2019), held on the 18-20 November 2019 at QUT Gardens Point, Brisbane, Australia.
Together with CARRS-Q colleague and ICSC Scientific Committee member Divera Twisk, we ensured that the conference remained true to its ongoing goals of providing a forum in which those involved in cycling safety research can share their latest findings and challenges with fellow researchers, practitioners and policymakers.
Holding the ICSC in the Australasia for the first time was a wonderful opportunity to increase the global reach of the conference through the involvement of delegates and keynote speakers from some of the world’s most populous cycling nations. We were joined by over 180 delegates from 21 countries, who enjoyed an innovative and engaging conference program featuring technical tours, pre-conference workshops, a multitude of networking events, keynote and panel sessions.
We would like to thank our sponsors, exhibitors and supporters, without whom ICSC2019 would not have been possible. Please click here to find out more about these organisations.
The next conference in the series, ICSC2020, will be held in Lund, Sweden.
We hope to see you there.
Professor Narelle Haworth, CARRS-Q
